There is a huge demand for Ebooks/Information Products on Ebay and there are many sellers making a fantastic income selling them. In fact selling ebooks is one of the most profitable businesses to have online. If you have your own ebook you can earn thousands of dollars on and off eBay.
So how do you create your own ebook to sell? Firstly, you need to select your topic. It is good to write about something that you know a lot about, a hobby perhaps or something you have a lot of experience with. It could be anything like gardening, golf, camping, dog training, music and much more.
It is easier to write about something you know about but if you can't think of anything you can offer people then you can always do some research online to find information on a topic. By searching the internet for keywords relating to your chosen topic you will be able to find plenty of information to create an ebook.
You can type your information into a Word document and once your ebook is complete you will need to convert it into pdf format. PDF is the most common format used for ebooks and is quite easy to create. Do a search on Google for a free pdf converter and you should find one fairly easily.
You don't have to have an ebook cover image for your ebook but it does look much more professional and you will get more sales if you do. There are many cheap software programs available to create ecovers.
Once you have your ebook complete you will need to write a sales page or listing to sell it on eBay. Research other ebooks on the same or similar topic to see what they are selling for as you will want to be competitive. Generally you will be able to sell items higher if you sell outside of eBay but you will need your own website to do so.
That is fairly easy and cheap to do though as you can get unlimited domain hosting through a company like Hostgator and then you can sell a number of ebooks and have only the one monthly hosting payment.
If you just don't think creating a product is for you then you can purchase products with resell rights to sell. That way there is no work involved at all with the creation of a product you just need to set up an Ebay listing and resell the product you purchased.

Rules for selling ebooks on eBay
ebay does not allow direct selling of ebooks which are only available to download. You will need to compile your ebook, preferably in pdf format, and place the file(s) on to a CD or DVD. This way you are complying with ebays rules that require you to sell a ‘physical’ product. Other digital products can also be produced and sold this way.
