Tips to avoid being scammed from online advertisers

There is so much bad information being currently flouted online it’s very easy to fall foul of the scammers who are only out to grab your money. This is particularly relevant if you’re searching for ways to make money from the internet. If you want to avoid being scammed, or at least avoid losing money from buying into the hype of so called ‘get rich quick’ schemes then it pays to do a bit of research first.

The fact is, devising a great looking website that makes the company look like it’s worth a million dollars is all too easy these days, so don’t be fooled by the professional appearance of the site, and the slickness of the copywriting. A few quick searches via Google should provide you with a better idea of whether the advertiser is providing a good product or service or whether it may be a scam.

Your first port of call should be Scam.com and WarriorForum.com to see if anyone else has purchased from the advertisers. If it’s internet marketing related, for example an ebook or training course that promises to show you how to make an income from the internet, the chances are that someone has already tried them out, so hopefully you will get some insight into the validity of their claims.
Unfortunately though, there are usually sceptics who have never actually tried the product in question, so look for details of those who have actually tried them and found them useful. It can be a little difficult to uncover the real facts sometimes. However, with a bit of persistence and reading between the lines you can usually figure out whether the product is worth buying or not.

My advice would be to only deal with advertisers who have a proven track record in providing good quality information and good value for money. Just bear in mind that if you really want to make money online you must expect to work hard to achieve the high rewards that very successful marketers attain.

If you want to get involved in internet marketing and make money through affiliate marketing, Pay Per Click advertising, AdSense, digital product creation, blogging, video marketing etc. etc. then you should start by taking notes of how the professional marketers are doing it already. It doesn’t cost you anything to do a bit of research. You can start by simply checking out how advertisers are using PPC to attract visitors and buyers and what type of ‘landing page’ they lead to.

The following is a list of money making opportunities picked at random that I found from PPC ads that were recently being shown online.

‘£94000/Month in the UK’ www.britishsuccessdotcom.com (purchase price at time of advertising £47)

‘Guerilla Adsense Strategy’ www.adsenseextreme.com (ebook $14.99 + free ebook offer at time of advertising)

‘Clickbank got me Laid’ www.therichjerk.com (ebook $9.95 + bonuses offer at time of advertising)

‘Learn How to Make Money Online’ www.making-money-rocks.com (initial involvement free)

‘Make Money with Auctions’ www.crackingtheauctioncode.com (ebook $27 with limited time offer at time of advertising)

You might notice that some of these advertisers are making their products available through Clickbank which is a good thing because Clickbank offers a money back guarantee. If you’re not happy with the product you can request a refund within 60 days of purchase.

Clickbank is also the best place to go if you have a digital product to sell and you want the help of affiliates to promote your product.
For a suitable commission of course! It can be one of the most lucrative ways to sell online.

Apart from buying poor quality information online, there are many other types of scams which can have far worse consequences.
For example identity theft, credit card fraud and ‘phishing’ for personal information such as bank details and account passwords.
