Getting paid for doing surveys using a PC There are a number of sites around at the moment which are offering ways for you to make money filling out surveys. Basically, what this means is that once you have signed up to a survey provider you will be asked to enter some details such as age, gender and location, which is then used to match the requirements specific to the type of survey that will be offered. In other words, when a survey that fits your profile becomes available you will be invited to take it in return for some form of payment. Your reward for completing the survey may come in the form of a monetary payment, or alternatively, a voucher, gift certificate or even goods such as electrical, entertainment or household items (which you could probably sell if you prefer the cash) Sounds easy doesn’t it? But is it as good as they say it is? Well, providing you find a reputable company the rewards can be reasonably good. Hypotheticially speaking, if you filled in three paid surveys a day, three or four days a week, at an average of around $25 per survey you could expect to make approximately $1350 per month, which sounds great, and not bad for a part-time income. However, the reality is, until you have established yourself as a regular survey filler, you are more likely to make less than this due to the amount of people who have already jumped on to the bandwagon, thus creating a demand which is almost outstripping supply. Some of the higher paid surveys may be harder to come by. Cash payment for surveys is more likely to vary between the $5 to $10 mark. But it still remains a popular way to make extra money using your PC. As we speak, some sites are closing their doors to new sign ups because they have already filled their quota. But there are still some good opportunities available for anyone looking for this type of work. The problem is in finding them. But if you prefer to work from home and have a few hours to spare each day in which you can spend time filling out the odd survey here and there, you could soon be making some extra cash to contribute to your monthly income. It won’t be huge, so don’t expect to make a fortune. You’ll also be limited by the amount of surveys available. But making some extra income each month can be useful when you’re stuggling to pay the bills. Better be quick though, because I think these opportunities will reach saturation point eventually, and more companies will be closing their doors once vacancies have been filled. Here are are two of the better sites that will provide you with information about what survey companies and opportunities are available. www.surveyscout.com www.paidsurveysonline.com Please note that with these sites there is usually a small investment to make to provide you with their service, but you should be able to recoup that investment within a relatively short space of time. You may be able to find paid survey sites online without using these companies, but it’s not easy to identify the ones that are reputable. There are many scams on the internet related to 'Work at home schemes' and even the companies listed above have probably been accused of this because they charge a service fee. However, as long as you remember that it’s a service that you’re signing up for which is designed to help you find work with reputable companies, then you can decide for yourself if it’s worth paying for that convenience. Also, when you sign up you will pay through a company called ‘Clickbank’ which is a very reputable company which offers a 60 day money back guarantee, so if you're not happy with their service then you can contact Clickbank for a refund. An alternative to filling out surveys is to make money with a ‘data entry’ job. This is what a lot of people see advertised online and are quick to sign up for. There are companies that offer data entry jobs that pay by the hour, but to be honest, not many of these ‘opportunities’ are worthwhile. The reality of data entry jobs is that most of the work is outsourced to places like India and many of the jobs you see advertised on the net are just a new variation of the ‘work at home’ schemes that have been around for decades. In this scam, the worker pays a registration fee and is offered a data entry job where they are taught to type more ‘data entry ads’ and have to pay for the ads they place. Worse still, you only get paid a ‘commission’ when the reader who sees your ad makes a purchase that leads to a sale. In fact for most of the time you’re simply creating ads that are trying to get people to sign up for the same type of data entry job as you. This is just a variation on the old ‘envelope stuffing’ scam where people used to pay a small fee to join the scheme, and the victim is sent a flyer template to promote the same ‘work from home’ scheme, and told to post them around their local area, or post them to some useless mailing list. Some ads offer legitimate forms of work that really do exist, but more often than not, they exaggerate the salary and don’t make it clear how much effort will have to be put into the job, or they may exaggerate the amount of work that will be available. But for some people even a small extra income can be useful, especially in areas of low income. So how can you find a legitimate Data Entry job? Well, probably the easiest way is to search Google to find an unbiased review site that gives you reliable in-depth information about the legitimate data entry programs that are available. But finding one is the problem. My advice would be to become an affiliate marketer and work for yourself. |
